My girlfriend and I decided to do a little afternoon project, and she didn't just help she did at least half the grinding and I did the other half. Still need practice and refinement, but I don't think this is bad for my/ our first one! This knife started as a Benchmade h20 folder. I thought I'd like it when I bought it , but I really didin't like the knife at all, so I figured if I messed up this little project it wouldn't be a big deal. After grinding on it for a little while we came up with this. Looked to other benchmade designs because we figured it'd look the best with the handle and the existing profiles. Friendly advice, harsh criticism, words of encouragement, negative sarcasm all welcome!

GREETINGS KOREAN HOG,
I can't find a thing wrong here. much more useful shape than the original. nice job.

Wow, I honestly had zero clue that wasn't stock like that and I had to go back and check the stock pic. I think it definitely looks BETTER than it came! Great work sir!

Nice looking work, but may I offer a word of advice before you do so again?

Using pencil, draw out your planned grind path on the knife and walk away from it for a little bit. Come back to the knife after a couple of minutes and give the new blade shape a look over.
After a slight break, you will get your mind on other things and when you come back to it, it will be with slightly fresher eyes. This will aid you in seeing parts you wish to change, or if you immediately like it as-is.

Now erase the marks and try a different blade shape entirely, then some slightly different patterns, see how those strike you. Then go back to the one you liked best and make some minor tweaks until you pin down your exact pattern.

That sounds like a much better process. I like the sound of your methods man, honestly, I admit that I'll probably do that next go round. What i really like is that your idea involves more planning before any steel is removed. This was half planned half make it up as I went looking at multiple other benchmade. Again the advice is greatly appreciated! :)

Your reground knife looks more like a real product to me than the supposedly original.
I forgot to take before pictures so I had to find a stock pic off the internet of what it looked like before  I couldn't tell if you were giving me a compliment or calling BS, but I'm flattered either way :D

Looks almost like a fat reverse tanto 940! Good job. Much better look than original profile. Used it any since the re-grind?

That looks really nice. It looks like a more useful blade shape. I have the same plan for my zt 0350.
