Hi all,

I know I don't post here often, but I wanted to know if my Case Russlock in gray bone is supposed to have a satin blade opposed to a polished blade. I have to say that I'm very impressed by the feel of this knife, and there will be more Case knives in my future. If you would also be able to recommended some patterns beside the large Trapper, Sodbuster and a Medium Jack, I would appreciate it.

Thanks, Mike

All my russlocks have polished blades. I would recommend my 3 favorite patterns besides the russlock.

Gunstock

Toothpick

Stockman

Hope that helps.

Oh BTW we need photos of your new russlock. :p

I will get some photo's of it later, but on the toothpick, how large is the large toothpick? I love the blade shape of that knife.

Thanks, Mike

Agreed on all accounts! I'd also add a Barlow to this list as well.

The large toothpick is most of the time 5" to 5 1/2" closed. I like the tiny toothpick or GEC has a 4" pick.

The new Case large toothpick is 5 3/8" closed with a blade 4 1/4" long, which puts it a bit over the legal limit to carry here in Kansas. There was an older large toothpick with a 5" handle and 3 7/8" blade that I really like as well, and can carry legally.

I'm a fan of the Case, Tony Bose designed small saddlehorn, pattern #TB52110 here in green stag.

In bone instead of stag, the pattern is #TB62110. They're 3-1/2" closed.

i always seem to carry an older small texas jack in cv, or mini muskrat in cv. i like the copperhead and mini copperlock as well
