Just finished up my first attempt at a scout sheath. Made it for my first damascus knife I made. Sewing the belt loop area is a real bear with how many layers are stacked up there. Next time I might try Horsewrights style of horizontal sheath instead. This was also my first time trying eco flo all in one finish. I’d tried the dye, resist, antique paste approach before with less than stellar results. This all in one is hi-lite stain premixed with a top finish. Sounded a lot like Horsewright’s concoction of hi-lite and tankote, so I gave it a whirl. I’m pretty happy with how it worked and it was way easier than the old method. Fudge brown on the sheath itself with acorn brown for the belt loop.
