First Seb 21 inbound...

I have been anxiously waiting for the right time to try out a Seb 21. I have 2 lg. regular Seb's now but no 21's. I was able to find a lg. micarta 21 at one of my old suppliers, so I jumped on it. It should arrive tomorrow. I am anxious to feel the 21, with micarta no less after seeing/hearing all the praise of the micarta Seb's. Also anxious to see when this one was made and if it has the stamp or s35v steel. I am thinking this one could have been made before both of those changes because this supplier was one of the last places I would usually look. He did not even have any regular 21's in stock, but he had a micarta 21.::thumbup: I stress he HAD.:D

How much was it? S35V Large Seb 21 w/Micarta, good find.

Large Micarta 21 just arrived and I snapped a few pics with my other 2 CRK's, 2 large regulars. I was correct, this one has a born on date of Sept. 2010, no stamp and S30V steel :D. 21 has a different feel for sure, lock bar is more easily accessible. The micarta inlays definitely let the knife feel more substantial in hand. Gives a bit of grip for sure. After fondling it for a while, I am definitely liking this one alot. My large regular EDC will have some competition now, no doubt.

In the pics, top is a large regular from 2003 that has dual silver lugs, perf. washers, new screws, etc. makeover done by the CRK spa. In perfect condition.
Middle one is my EDC, large regular from 2004.
Bottom is my new large micarta 21, as from CRK brand new, born Sept 2010. :thumbup:

Very nice Bapple. I have a large reg thats the exact same condition as yours. Dual silver lugs, perf washers, mint conition. And a large micarta but its a classic.
Wish I had a user large reg too cuz I dont see myself ever edc'ing my minty reg.

Thanks, I am not sure I will ever EDC my now minty regular either. My EDC regular is still in pretty good shape, but as seen in the pics, the titanium has wear, which looks rather good imo. Gonna put this micarta 21 in the rotation with the regular, see how it works out. Really loving the feel of it as I sit here and fondle it, ha. Any Seb is hard to beat imo.
 
Great snag on the Micarta. As long as were posting pics, here's mine. I actually have a Classic and 21 with Micarta, prefer the 21 though.
