This is my first SEBENZA and been carrying it for a week or so and I hate the blue ano parts. especially the thumb lug. Is there any way I can get sliver thumb lugs, lanyard pin and back spacer? Thanks!

You could order the Micarta Large Sebenza, it comes with silver hardware. Otherwise your next option would be to request a Large Regular with a special configuration from CRK directly and wait the production time.

A Dremal + polishing wheel = silver hardware. Easy schmeezy.

if you have about $50, you can send it back to the shop and have them replace the thumbstuds and replace the hardware. Including all the shipping, it should cost you about that.

There are options.

1. Send it to CRK for silver parts. Plan on spending some money and waiting a month or more.
2. Buy a new knife with silfer parts (certain dealers have these available). You know the cost involved with that.
3. Modify your own parts to make them silver. Fairly easy, and cheap if you already have the stuff you need.
4. just use it and the color will fade on the thumb stud, remove the lanyard pin and tie a lanyard through the holes, and put an o-ring or strip of colored tape on the backspacer to make it any color you like.

Thanks I guess I'll just send it in. I didn't know they had sliver hardware. I'm not really handy to do it myself.

I use a product called Never Dull. It's used for polishing lots of types of metal. I've taken the anodizing off of several studs and 1 spacer.

It's really Easy to do yourself. I definitely wouldn't pay CRK $50 for something you can do youself.

Doesn't Fitz work as well....? I think that's what several people were doing to make the 25 have silver thumbstuds.

Even if your not handy, taking some of that and a rag and rubbing it on should not be too tough. Your basically buffing it off.

Tape it off with some electrical tape, and I've used a green scratchy pad and done the actual stud. The backside of the stud is a little tricky. Backspacer ano comes off super easy when disassembled. The process is ghetto but affective. Take care
