First sebenza- a few questions

Hey there! I'm mere hours away from my first Sebenza, but I have a few questions:

I tend to cut a lot of lemons at work and sometimes tomatos, bananas, and other things of the like. It wouldn't be uncommon to get sour cream on my blade. Is a quick rinse-off and a wipe proficient cleaning? I understand Titanium, as far as non-chemical exposure goes, is completely rust resistant, but is just soaking the knife then drying it off going to lead to eventual rusting of the pivot bushing and the washers? I do intend to use this baby without regard to things like small scratches and the like, but I will take way too good care of it too.

how does the s30v hold up against discoloration, rust, pitting, etc.? My Spyderco Sage 1 tends to do very well, however if I don't give the blade a thorough wipe-off after cutting lemons it can lead to some discoloration. Is that as apparent in a stonewashed finish?

I'm also thinking about reversing the screws so that the non-clip side doesn't have the hex heads showing, giving one side a nice smooth look and the other side having all the workings showing. Is this ill-advised? I know everything is perfectly fitted, so would that mess with the stop pin?

I'm also thinking about getting dual thumb lugs somewhere down the road. Are there coloration choices available? Is that something I need to send my knife in to have done?

Thanks for any info given!

I have used my sebenza for cutting everything I can think of and the blade has never discolored. The stonewashed look shows no scratches, scuffs or discoloration at all. Its awsome how well it holds up to everything without a blemmish. The only thing on a sebbie that shows wear is the thumbstuds after awhile and the titanium slabs scuff up from use. Other than that, your good to go.

Reversing the screws is common. CRK only does it the way they do to aid in assembly. The knife functions absolutely fine any way you put the screws.

You can get Dual Studs in Blue, Silver ( natural ) and Gold. The Blue will wear like I said, I am sure the gold will too. I have found to like the silver the best as its just left natural, so nothing will rub off over time.

Congratulations on your first sebenza. Believe me, I know the feeling. ANY New CRK gives me the feeling you have as well as other high end knives. My first XM-18 is on the way, so I share the excitement with you.

I carried a small Sebenza for about 4 years straight with no issues of staininig on the blade, but do have some stains from cutting up a few lemons a while back on my Umnumzaan. It was my fault, as I just ran the blade through my fingers and put it back into my pocket without giving it a rinse. Didn't think anything of it until I openned it the following morning and saw the residue on the blade. The stains remained after a better cleaning, but it is what it is.

I tend to reverse the screws on my two sebenzas, one 2008 large reg and a 2009 small classic 21 which has the dual hex heads. Reversing the screws will make it a tad trickier to reassemble if you take the knife apart but not by much.
I love the seb for how simple it is, it's KISS in a perfect form!

Interesting thing to note! Reversing the screws actually made it harder to open! For some reason it added to the tension, making it not as smooth and really hard to thumb-flick.
