I ordered and received a new small Sebenza from Neil at True North Knives. The fit and finish is very good...possibly better than my Strider AR (and I only say that because of the ARs loose thumbstud). It is very small; smaller than I anticipated but that is perfectly fine. My only gripe is that the sharpness isn't quite what I had hoped for. I'm sure this can be easily remedied. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and it is replacing my Obenauf Model 3 as my EDC.

Thanks, guys.
Yeah it is really proving its worth thusfar. I'll post pics at some point.

Can't go wrong with the Seb or that Obie, welcome to the fold.

All but one of my CRK's have had very sharp edges. The exception was a Shadow III fixed blade that had a wire edge. Took me all of five minutes to make it razor sharp. Check it carefully to see if that might be your case. In any case you can send it back to CRK for sharpening if you don't want to deal with it yourself.

If you think the small Sebenza is too small you might want to look at the large (regular or classic) Sebenza. I have both and find the small classic perfect for EDC and the large beautiful but a bit too large for my EDC.

I have yet to receive a knife, production or custom, that meets my standards for sharpness. And S30V burns very easily when power sharpened, so ... sharpen it until it is as you like it, then enjoy it.

I have a small regular in the mail, I guess I will get it this Thursday or Friday, it will be my first Sebenza :p , I'll post some pics soon.
I can' wait to get in my hands!

You guys are gonna LOVE your Sebbies!

Oh my god ... now I do understand what you mean! I have spydercos, microtechs etc which are great knifes - but this Sebenza is out of this world!!! Absolutely something else, better, smoother and sharper than anything else!

I'll take some pics by the end of this week of this beauty!!!

Congratulations -- you've made a lifetime investment.

On sharpness -- I think sometimes the polished edge on a new Sebbie doesn't feel as sharp as the toothier edges on other new knives. Did you try it on hanging newsprint? My Sebbies, when new, glided through it.

You won't be sorry you bought a Seb, I've only had mine three months and I am sure of what I say.
enjoy!

It really is an extraordinary knife! I love it!

Here's few pics as promised! :)
