First Sebenza!

Hello All,

Well after living most of my life not knowing the joys of owning a fine knife I took the plunge. My experience with knives was: a boy scout fixed blade, some cheap utility knives in the garage, and a Kershaw onion that I wore to work. After stopping by the knife counter at my LGS I was brought out from under my rock! I dropped some coin on a Sypderco Domino and my interest grew. Trying to make up for lost time I purchased a Sebenza 25 with micarta inlays. Wow, what a fantastic knife! The level of quality and fit are superb. This certainly won't be my last. I appreciate all the posts others have made and look forward to learning more.

Grats my friend ! I like you waited to get one. Big mistake , love my small 21 so much I keep a backup new in the box just in case !

Superb knife, got one myself. Congratulations with yours. Wait until you get your hands on a Umnumzaan and a 21. I see only one problem you're going to run into, you've surpassed owning other good economical knives and went for the CRK. Others will feel inferior compared to a CRK. You are ruined and your addiction has begun. Enjoy the knife and it will serve you well.
 
25 is great, strong detent that will breakin in no time at all. Nice score

Thanks, I know what you mean. I did the same thing with pistols. My Kimber makes everything else feel, well, lacking.
 
I just got the same knife! Its head and shoulders above the small 21 i had. Such a terrific blade
 
I have a few 21's. Never had a Zaan but I want a 25 pretty bad. Sweet knife. As said, the addiction has taken hold now and you are spoiled. Lol
 
Congrats! Enjoy it. You've been bitten by the sebenza bug, while not fatal it is highly addictive. Welcome to the club, there is no getting out.
