First Sebenza

Just got my first Sebenza in trade today! I think I might have to emphasize the word "first"! This is a latge decorated Classic that has the clip insert and a nice leather horizontal sheath. WOW! I am impressed with the whole package. The Sebenza just has a "feel" to it of accuracy and smoothness. I think a small one is definately in the near future!

As someone who has been in the healthcare field for many years it is my considered opinion that you are suffering from the early stages of Sebenzanitis which was brought to these shores from South Africa by one Chris Reeve.

While you will spend much money trying to satiate the desires created by this disease, you find there is no cure.

You only have one choice.

i too started with one large (plain) sebenza and now own four large and three small...all plain and added a decorated (unique) small and an umfaan as well as two fixed blades....
at first it was just flirtation here and there and then the obsession began....i now go to a twelve step group for help....feverdoc

Congrats on your new Sebenza, Tony. I think you will find that despite all the distracting noise and inevitable 'Custom vs Production' arguments, you have without a doubt one of the finest folding knives ever made. My two sebenzas are the only knives in my collection that I think will be with me for life.

I am at fault for getting Tony T hooked. I was the one he got the knife and sheath from, The knife was perfect, it was just too big for me to carry frequently, and my small woody does everything I need. The sheath was done by my request and I regret that I only got to wear it once, but I have another g2 sheath(actually two) for my small that I love, and I am planning to order several more. That green dye I requested will get used again Gary, I promise. I just haven't figured out what knife needs a sheath first.

Congrats on your purchase Tony, the sebenza and gary's sheaths really make a great combo. I also have one of his sheaths matched with my small plain. If you go to gary's page mine is the horizontal with the flap.
