I just ordered my first Sebenza and I am having wicked buyers remorse. I have never spent this much on a knife before. I sure hope it is as good as everyone says. It is a large regular sebenza and it will be a hard user.

Whats- done -is done. I would love to own a sebenza, lots of people say it is a lifetime knife. but if you decide you don't like it you could always post it on the forum for sale . Congrats

If you don't like your Sebenza, you will have no problem getting all your money back. I am a big time Sebenza fan!! I carry a Sebbie on a daily basis.

Do not sweat it. My wife got me mine. I carry it everyday and each time I use it I marvel at the fit and finish. Plus my wife likes it because I think of her when I use it.

Don't worry too much about spending a lot on high end and custom knives....they lose almost no value if you take good care of them. If you EDC it for a week and don't like it (I didn't think it was anything special, personally) sell it for a few bucks less.

It is *DEFINITLY* as good as everyone says.

No hype. All truth.

It is THAT good.

But that doesn't mean you will like it. That doesn't mean the knife is what you are looking for.

I bought a Sebenza. Loved it. Used it for a while. Loved it even more. My tastes changed. I sold it. I miss it. But I am happier with the knives I am currently into.

You will not be dissapointed. I just picked up a small Sebenza again. I've had them before and then I got into customs. I've had many many nice customs, some up to the $1000 mark and I'm still in awe of the Sebeneza. It acheives a level of consistantly perfect fit and finish that few can match at any price. I consider them to be a value for what you get if you appreciate pure precision and quality. Best user knives in the world IMO and I'm glad to have my small regular back in my pocket.

The sebbie is a great knife. Unless you got problems with higher brain functions youll love it. I ended up with a damascus custom and up that it is by far my most expensive knife i own. Truly a great knife.

Dont worry be happy. :D

Congrats on the purchase. The only problem I have had with mine was the out of box sharpness, but that has been fixed through a bit of elbow grease. The only other issue I have with the knife is that I really haven't had much need or want to get more knives. I know that sounds funny, but I really haven't carried anything else since I got it. As such, it has taken a bit of the fun out of collecting as it really has become the one knife that seems to be able to do everything I ask of it. Not exactly a real problem, though:rolleyes: .

I spent 425 for my classic micarta sebenza,& sometimes i think it was too much.when this happens, i look in the sunday new york times ads,see the designer pocketbooks by gucci, chanel, etc. for 1200.00, 1800.00, 2000.00,& realize at least i got something that cost a lot less,& wont get thrown in a closet in six months because its no longer in style........

I think flipe8 speaks for alot of sebenzanistas. I've also had the same dilema with my sebenza. It's almost like you don't really need any other knife because it performs so well in so many situations. I like to have a large group of knives to carry just because, but the seb is the one I usually reach for in the morning.

I like the way you guys think! :D

Revolutionarty, I hope you do like it. If it doesn't seem so great when you first see it, realize the basic knife isn't made to look spectacular, and try it out a bit to see how it performs.

The precision and ability you will find can be easily maintained or restored over the years.

Now that I too am a Sebenza owner, I can attest to their quality. They may be a tad overpriced IMHO, but they are in no way whatsoever overhyped, unlike another company's folders you often hear about.
