Wanted to show you guys my first sebenza, it's my 2nd framelock and first in the world of higher end folding knives. I went with the Large 21 ebony wood inlay. Everything about the knife out of the box is just right, I'm very happy with my first CRK folder.

ETA: After playing with thing a little while I really don't understand the whole flick or not debate that rages on. For anyone that's not used a sebenza imagine putting ky jelly between two pieces of glass and rubbing them together, that's what opening this thing feels like.

Here's a pic. :D

Excellent choice! Congrats and good luck on growing the balls to start using it to cut things...

haha thanks. So far I've been using it to cut paracord. Making some pace counters to give to friends. I'll take it in the woods with me later.

From my experience the wood inlaid Sebs are considerably smoother out of the box. Not to take anything away from the smoothness of plains, though. They're all pretty sweet, but some of the ones I've had seemed to need a little breaking in.

Also, that DOB is my 10th wedding anniversary! If you ever decide you're tired of it you can send it my way... ;)

ark> I've only handled 2 plains before this one, they were well used though.

I couldn't get rid of this knife, my girl insisted she get it for me so I have a fancy pocket knife to match my fixed blades. I'm a lucky guy. :p

Dang man, you are lucky.

Alright guys I made some trap parts with it and just diddled around in the woods a while. It makes a great whittler. I'm kinda lost on what kinda tests you could put a pocket knife through, I honestly just don't use em much.

Congrats. I love the wood inlays. I have a cocobolo in my EDC rotation. It's nice having the best looking knife in the crowd.

Thanks guys. I think I looked at every available large sebbie available for sale but kept coming back to the ebony wood. In person the gold accents really set it off.

I'm not sure guys. This knife is absolutely awesome, it's already become part of my wardrobe, but I've never really been into folding knifes. Always put a SAK in my pocket and called it good. I think/hope I'll be happy with just this one sebbie. :D
