Just had to post this. Just finished my first serious folder. Blade is D2, Liners are titanium, bolsters are nickel silver and handle is desert ironwood. Wow! What a thrill to finish this. I'm use to the fixed blades and not used to such intricate work. Man are those screws tiny!

Thanks for lettin' me show off. :D

(Hope the photo post works...)

Thanks guys!:D

This has been a blast to make. I'm finally going to sign up for my first knife show at Koval's Greater Ohio this November (mostly all fixed blades for this one). I can't wait to see the big guys blades to see what I need to work on.

that is one handsome gents knife. i don't really care for folders but that one would be a fine carry on a slacks and sport coat type evening.

Nice work. I haven't even thought about venturing into folders. Too rough on the nerves. That one looks great. Tess, Danny & I will be there in Ohio, look forward to seeing you there.

You guys are way to kind.

I'm in the club, as I'm sure the rest of y'all are, that there's always one more detail to work on, one more scratch, one more edge to smooth... I've a hard time putting one down and saying "Yes, that one's ready".

I made a back lock four years ago with the spring integral with the back spine. Man was that tough. I swore off folders, until I decided to look into the liner locks. There simpler, but still not easy. I'm hoping to see others blades at the Ohio show and make that long list of details to fix.

Thanks guys. J. Hope to see you and Tess in November.

I'd say your folder is very nice! Very well done! You must feel good about leaping that hurdle.

So okay - how do I come up with an original way to praise this beautiful work?

...

Guess I can't! :D Dan that is truly fine, and if I ever screw up the courage to try a folder I hope I can do 1/5th as good. I love the ironwood, it's great to see a natural handle on such a contemporary piece. I also like the way you left the linerlock above the cutout for the stud, giving good room for moving it. What a knife, thoroughly though out. Great job!

Dan, those guys said it pretty well! I want to add, you show up at a show with that knife, you are going home without it!
