I decided that I wanted to try my hand at making sheaths for a few of my knives. I got some supplies and a half shoulder of leather. I made a few mistakes :) but nothing that put to long of a hiatus into my projects. Here are my results from Saturday night.

This one is a 14" tramontina, the sheath has a welt and I jacked up the belt loop because I positioned it and sewed it before refining the fit.

I realize that they are not beautiful, but they are well fitted and functional. It going to be fun learning to refine this work. Sheaths are a lot fun to build.

I appreciate the offer. I am going to stick with it. I like the satisfaction of making functional things. The plan is to work on my build quality and then learn tooling.

Looks like you have the basics worked out...you'll just get better with experience.

I've got the template made for a queen drop point hunter and for a landi bushcraft that I have. I think I will take a bit more time with these and hopefully I can accomplish a really clean job.

Very solid start in the craft. Like Paul said, stick around and keep getting better! Welcome! :D

Dont be afraid to ask and learn. :)
