Picked up two sides while travelling Montana the last couple days. Love the history of this Tannery. The store I picked it up was Old school brick store in Anaconda Mt.

I believe the leather is 3mm. Too thin for a fixed blade but maybe a folder it's ok. Very soft beautiful waxy finish. I line it with a smooth thin section of leather. Cement the two halves then build the sheath. This creates a very strong long lasting sheath. I didn't dye the leather or the welt. Just a coat of Montana pine pitch.

I love this raw Buck 192, it needed a sheath.

That leather would make a good concealed carry holster, the leather would naturally form around the pistol. I have made several.

Smooth and simple!! My kinda sheath!! Nicely done Mike!!! John

I really like that knife and the sheath is delicious :) Great combination. I would carry it every day.

Looks amazing.

Something else to try if you ever get bored. I've always kind of liked stacked leather sheathes paired with stacked handles. These are a few I've done. The top one is currently being reconditioned.

The sheath looks great, but that Vanguard oh my! Where did you find that or did you rehandle it yourself?

Your skill continues to reach for the clouds. Keep up the good work. If Blade Mag starts a west coast show you must put up a display and sale booth. 300

Heavy duty. Hand stitch?

Yes, mine is all hand stitched. I don't have a sewing machine. But doubt anything would do that thickness anyway. I do use a drill press for the holes.

Your work is absolutely beautiful. I could only dream of approaching the quality of your stuff. Thank you for sharing. Very inspirational.

Some really fine examples of your work posted here Mikael - Top notch for sure - Always enjoy seeing your newest creation.
