I bought 20 lbs of scrap for $40 and this unidentified piece kinda jumped at me. Maybe 5 oz and very soft but tough. Felt that the belt loop should be a little heavier.

19.8 lbs left to go

Second sheath
Having 19 lbs of scrap leads to experimenting. Sometimes with a belt fixed blade I have had issues of edge forward or edge to the rear. The solution has always been to shift the sheath to the other side. In many cases that was less than desirable because of packframes or shoulder sling bags. So I thought why not work out a "convertible" that I could shift the blade entering from either side. In this mockup I am uncomfortable with the strength of the sheath at the edges, all the bearing weight is about .5 inches on either side, and the side slits should end in rounds, as well as the belt slits. Being a newbie to sheath making I'm wondering if anyone addresses this issue in another way.
