The shape and rivit holes look a little goofy. but they're how they are for a reason. The blunt nose is so it stands up straight in your pocket, the front rivet is on the balance point for neck carry, and the 2 on the side are for molle clips.

For day hike carry.

Very pleased with myself and looking for attention. Retention is perfect for drawing and inserting.

Nice work! That thumb ramp/texture on the "spine" looks neat. Can you tell us more about it and take some pics?

Looks good munky, nice work. I've gotten really fond of the rivet and paracord attachment on my RC-4. I don't know where they got the idea, but it works!

Sure. Technically this is my second sheath, the first was for a larger knife i had made, but I made the sheath too tight. I put the jimping on the back of that knife to try and make it easier to draw. Once I got a drill press to get the rivits on the sheath became impossibly tight, so I heated it up and reused the kydex for the izula. which is why the color match isnt perfect. I liked how the jimping looked so I did it again on the izula.

you can see I also rounded the top of that sheath to make a thumb ramp. That works great, butthe tip of your thumb gets sore after awhile. The pad of your thumb is much more durable, so the jimping is nice. I just put the sheath in a vice and used a chainsaw file.

I also filed a ramp on the inside to make it easiery to re sheath, without impairing retention.

was thinking about making a few of these and selling them on the forum, but don't know what I need to do that yet. Knife maker, or gold member and sell it in the exchange?
also don't want to poach on Shotgunner. mostly because he presumably has a shotgun.

Same here, you could just go to that auction site. Nice sheath BTW. That looks like thick kydex, is it .090?

That thumb ramp is a very cool idea. Nice work.

Great looking sheath. I really like where you put the holes and why. The thumb ramp is nice too. If you decide to sell some, I'd really like to buy one!

you're right. It's .93

As I mentioned it was for a larger knife that I messed up, and had already drilled holes so I was past the point of no return. I wanted to salvage the material so i just made it into a smaller sheath.

The rest of the kydex I have is all .80

Next I want to make a rectangular sheath so It can fit an innertube and be made into a neck survival kit like Pict did:

That one should be indestructible :D .080 is what I've been using also. I think for the Izula you could even get away with the thinner stuff. My FIST glock holster is their ultra thin version. I figure if it can hold a Glock it should suffice for an Izula. Have fun playing with kydex. I've been making sheaths for things that don't even need sheaths.
