This is my first real sheath. All prior were made for junk, just practice pieces. This is my first foray into making a serious user sheath.

It's made from good, thick leather, saddle-stitched with riveted corners. Dyed with Tandy's EcoFlo gel antique mahogany dye, followed by EcoFlo carnauba cream and some neatsfoot oil.
Sam Brown button retention (which is doesn't need, the blade actually kinda clicks in for that final 1/4"...) I was going to leave it plain, but it needed some lines to break up the monotony. The lines on the body and retention-strap were pressed in using a ruler and a broken, plastic letter-opener.

Learned a good lesson on the belt-attachments. I wanted this to sit at an angle, not realizing it would naturally want to sit horizontal. In my defense, I made this entire thing at work, during a long, bleak night-shift. All I did at home was even the edges on a bench grinder.

Other than the way she sits on a belt, I think it came out pretty darn good. I love saddle-stitching, it beats the pants off of using my old lock-stitcher.

Sorry for the crappy photos. Still getting used to this new phone...
