SAS Troops Clash With Taliban Unit Deep Inside Afghanistan
(London Sunday Times, September 23, 2001)

Taliban soldiers fired on British SAS troops deep inside Afghanistan.
The first gunfire---"more symbolic than directed"--- of the anticipated war against terrorism left no one hurt. Officials speculate the SAS team "spooked" Taliban troops near Kabul, who then fired indiscriminately before fleeing. This incident marks an escalation in what so far been only an intelligence war.


Anyone going over there... Be careful and come home in one piece. We're all grateful and proud to call you our countrymen.

The Taliban leaders,with their support of terrorists,have
started a World War.
They started this...We will finish it!!!
 
I suspect there will be alot of spilled blood before this one is over.
 
That little gun fire is just the first spark in what is sure to be a huge fire over the next couple of years. Buckle up boys and girls life is about to get interesting.....

I appreciate the apology you sent me via email. Thank you. I can understand how one might misinterpret the post. However, unless private commo is necessary, I would rather keep it to the board. If one is going to take a <i>public</i> swat at someone on the board and realizes their error, then one should apologise in the same method.

I hope I'm not coming across a a jerk here. I just think some basic protocols are necessary to keep things civil.

Now in today's Newsday on page 44--"The Rev.Jesse Jackson said yesterday that he is working through intermediaries to start a...dialogue with Taliban leaders"

Thanks a lot Rev.Jackson; maybe you can get them to turn over all the terrorists to you,then they can resign & hold new elections.

Or maybe we should let our President talk for us; he is doing fine so far & has world wide support!
 
I think that Jesse Jackson should personally go to Kabul. He can hang out with the Taliban and wait for the bombs to start falling. What a horses ass that guy is. Lets do a sponsorship to send both Jesse Jackson and Jane Fonda to Kabul-I bet you would get some huge donations for that one.
 
Just what the hell could Jesse Jackson have to say to them?!? I agree with you, Nyeti and Sky... This horse's ass is an opportunist of the highest degree. He is constantly seeking opportunities such as this to try to improve his image.

I'm quite certain that President Bush didn't take Jess aside and say to him, "Why don't you go on over to Afghanistan and see if YOU can make any progress with these guys."

Just who the hell does he think he is? How does he get the impression that he can speak on behalf our country. Did he get elected to ANY public office when I wasn't looking? Why do we allow this sort of thing to go on?

I just can't stand that son of a $%$#@. He has arranged his priorities thusly: his agenda and PR comes first, his race second, and being an American, dead last. Maybe he'll take that buffoon Sharpton with him on this little excursion. That way when the shells start falling, we can be rid of Jane, Al, and Jesse all at once.
 
I get this visual of Rev. Jackson giving his spiel.
The intrepreters looking at each other like what the hell did he say.
Trying their best they regergitate what they think he said.
Then the Taliban looking at each oher like what the %^#$@ is this guy saying. What a SYCOPHANT.
He rimnds me of the guy who could never hang w/ the guys at the neigborhood "Tree House". But would always do something stupid to try and belong.

I agree! Just read in USA TODAY, they interviewed some Paki. students that are "supposed" to go to Afgan. to "KILL AMERICANS"! One stated ,I want to kill your children,go to playgrounds,go to scools & kill your children! I will get them!All interviewed thought New York hit was great! One said the Sears Tower in Chicago was his!! This Idiot Jackson wants to converse with A**** lIKE THIS!!I have a picture in my mind of these (can't really think of a just ,descriptive name for them)meeting some of our guys!:D Please forgive the vent,I just have this urge to inflict much pain!!:mad:
