So, I finally got my first Skystorm sheath. Being that I'm in Washington state, I figured it would take two to three days for shipping. Well, it did.............my my wife pulled a fast one on me. She intercepted teh mail, and held my package till today (birthday and father's day).
Fit and finish are excellent. The knife rides at just the right height to draw in a "edge-down" reverse grip very fast.
I think the leather compliments the BK5 well. Make it feel like an old "long knife".
I even got bored this weekend and stippled my handle! Just a bit of stippling on the sides around the screw holes, 1/4 on each side of the tang down the back and front, plus a small line on the low points of the handle. I gotta say.......it might even be too grippy now. I'll see how it goes on my next excursion. I even threw a light dusting (through a piece of screen) of tan Krylon to add some more personalization.
