The snow came last night...Actually it started about noon on Sunday and is still falling. A blanket of pure white about 8" thick...its beautiful out there today because surprisingly there is no wind.

Great pics
One thing I do miss about Scotland is the cold winters.
I know it sounds crazy but its hard to beat a crisp snowie morning.
I dont get any snow here, thats for sure :p

HA.... we only get about 2" of snow here..the wet, heavy kind. I still haven't
seen a deer:mad:

I woke up to an inch this morning. We've got about four right now. I know it's nothing to you people from snow country, but in my part of western North Carolina, we just don't get snow this early in the season. We do get ice however... I'd much rather have snow.

I'm jealous of all you guys in snow country. We have to drive a couple of hours minimum, just to get to snow elevations. :(

Psychopomp - I'm from Sylva myself, and it sounds like you guys got early snow this year. What I wouldn't give (as a kid) to have that and skip school for the sledding. I only remember two big snows growing up there in WNC, then we moved to Montana. 4-6 feet on the ground from December through February.

Snow...sigh...

thx - cpr

Don't see much (any) white stuff in SD. Heard about it though.

Thanks for the pics. They're pretty. That first one is awesome.

Once it melts, can you pipe it over to So. Cal. please? Those are beautiful pictures. Thank you for sharing.
