How'd you get that smooth coating Coupchoux??? What is it? It LOOKS GREAT with the red/blk G10!!!
 
Great work on the gun blued finish....:thumbup: What type of "gun blue" did you use ? Does it stand up to chopping OK ?

GunBlue can stand up like Busse coating. It depends of the steel porosity.
Of course gunblue will protect the steel where you do not use it and will be removed where your blade works. That's why it will offer great contrasts with time and use.
All I know is that my striped Sarsquatch and this CGFBM tend to rust more without gunblue. The only difference with the Busse coating is that gunblue is very easy to recoat. The problem... is that it stink and taste horrible when you cut food and want to eat with your blade.
