Today I went by the hardware store and picked up some jack stands, and while I was there decided "Hey, I haven't bought a knife in a while." So off to the display case I went. My Kershaws and Bucks and Leatherman knives have all been seeing some drawer time as I have been carrying a mini trapper for a few months now, rotating it out with a large trapper from time to time. Looks like things are going to stay that way, because I walked out with my first ever Case Sod Buster Jr., in SS. Aside from my Skyline, this has got to be the sharpest out of the box knife I can recall purchasing. Case!

Congratulations. I was going to get one in CV, but decided to go for the Buck Vantage instead. I'm very pleased with the vantage, but I'll probably get the CV soddie someday.

Congrats the soddie is one of my favorite patterns. Here's a few pics of my custom soddies.

That's some beautiful file work. Thank you for sharing. I'm not too keen on scale material, but assuming the second one is orange micarta, what is the first one?

I bought a yellow Sodbuster jr on Friday. Mine is well put together with a strong backspring , I am really enjoying it. I used it to slice up some onions last night and it worked great. The thing cuts like a laser and is very comfortable in the hand.

Mine also has a great backspring on it. And this is the first knife I have ever had with this blade shape to it. It's easily one of my favorite designs now.

My first soddie jr. was a stainless that I picked up at a hardware store, then my wife bought me a yellow cv for Christmas so now I have two. I'd love to swap the scales on these because I prefer the black scales, they contrast with the liners nicely, and the CV is pretty nice with rounder edges on the spine. Some days I can't make up my mind which one I like better, they both make awesome steak knives too.

I am really digging mine. The blade shape is very useful. For such a simple knife I am sure excited about it.

Here is a picture of mine. Just the second day of ownership and I am already super proud of it. The blade has been reprofiled and I gave it a nice bath in warm water and dish soap.
This is the fourth Sodbuster that I have owned but the first one that I have really given a real chance at being an edc pocket knife. I'm thinking about doing a 90 days with just the Sodbuster and a small sak.
