i got a tenacious a few days ago, it's not only my first spyderco it's the first "non-flea market quality" modern style folder i bought. i usually hang out in the traditional forums, but for some reason i had a craving for a spyderco. the fit and finish is spot on from what i can tell, sharp as hell out of the box, locks up tight. all in all not a bad deal for 30 bucks. i think i'll use it as a beater for awhile. maybe ill upgrade to a military or para-military 2 sometime down the road.

The Tenacious is an incredible value. I've got that one and the smaller Persistence. Just can't beat them for the price.

You'll really be blown away by the middle and higher end Spydercos. I got my first Spydie in May 2010 (just 8 months ago), and I'm at 32 now. It's addictive! They make so many great models, I just can't resist!

I think the Tenacious is the best buy in all of knifedom.

Or for around $75 purchase a USA made 154-CM Manix 2. 2nd best value spyderco has to offers next to the one you got  Enjoy that knife!

Welcome to the world of SAD (Spyderco Acquisition Disorder)

Symptoms Include:
Cutting things for no apparent reason, wrist flipping syndrome, rationalization of increased purchase frequency, bargaining with your wife or significant other and finally, writing Spyderco directly on ways they could improve certain models.

Enjoy your stay :)

I agree about the Manix 2. It is a rock-solid knife - built like a tank... for a very reasonable price. Ergonomics in terms of grip are outstanding.

HA! Have you been spying on me? ;) I haven't written Spyderco directly on improvements, yet. Though I have communicated with Sal via these forums to praise him for his genius. :)
