First Spyderco/ Para 2/ I'm Hooked thanks Sal and Eric!!

Just got got my first spyderco, a Para 2 black with satin blade. All I can say is this wont be my last spyderco, b/c this thing is the shit. I'm in love with everything about it, the way it feels in my hand is amazing the g-10 is awesome, the comp lock is equally awesome, basically the whole package is great and for the money you can't go wrong. A:thumbup:nd this thing is wicked sharp out of the box. Just wanted to give my 2 cents on the blade even though I'm sure all of you know how great this knife is, and I'm sure all Spyderco's are. Basically I just want to say thanks Sal and Eric for a producing such and outstanding knife and now I think I'll go search for my next one!! :thumbup: for sure
 
My camera sucks at the moment so I'll spare u till I get a new one. Sorry though

I think by chance that you selected one of the best folders available bar none. And I'm not just talking about Spydies.

My Para 2 now sees more pocket time than literally any other folder and I have a bunch from ZT, Fallkniven, Spyderco, Kershaw and Lone Wolf (for some reason I'll never be a Benchmade guy).

There are, no doubt, others that open even more smoothly (but how smooth does it really need to be?) and there are others with thicker tips and flippers but for a folder the Para 2 ticks all my needs and at the price I'm not afraid to really use it. Sal and Eric literally knocked this one outta the park. Add in digi-camo G10 (as a break from Black) and I'm utterly sold. I now own 3.

A brilliant choice. Please don't let that stop you buying more Spydies but you've started at a terrific point IMHO. Enjoy it...

Yea, my Para 2 is carried more than any other knife, including my $$$ customs. The blade shape works the best for my every day needs.
 
just wait until you get the MILITARY model!!! it's equally awesome as it's smaller brother.
 
I too love the Para 2, got my first a few months ago, will definitely get another one some time.

The Para 2 is just the perfect EDC, it can handle small and big tasks. The blade and handle length(s) are right on and its blade shape is great. Its overall ergonomics are amazing and the g-10 is grippy yet non-abrasive. This is such a comfy knife, it fits in my hand perfectly. It is well made and is made of great materials, I know I can trust it and can definitely beat on it if needed. Add in the price (if you look around) you can't beat it; I haven't carried any of my other knives since I got it. This knife is just perfection.

I love it so much that my plan of buying a zt 0350 and Sage 1 will probably be put off to buy another Para 2.... :o


Great choice jwolf90, you wont be disappointed.

I just got my 4th Para 2 today (Gray CTS-20CP). I agree that the Para 2 is as close to an ideal folder as there is. I've got over 50 Spydies now, and the Para 2s are damned near perfect.

Congrats, enjoy, and welcome to the addiction.
 
Just purchased the Para2 myself. Couldn't agree more. Excellent knife.

You guys have brainwashed me. I have a digital camo Para 2 on the way. I still want a titanium framelock knife, but the price of the Para 2 made it easier to pull the trigger.
 
I got a Para 2 a week ago. My first Spyderco. What an excellent knife this is!!!!

I'm going to get one in the digital camo next or in desert camo, if they come out with one. Hell, I'd probably buy both!
