Well, I finally have my own Spyderco. I was fortunate enough to win the giveaway for one of cchu518's personal knives and I chose the Delica.
A few days later I was surprised to see I already had a package from cchu518. I opened it up and found my new (to me) knife. I not used to bright colors on my knives, but I like blue and really liked the color of this knife.
With cchu518's description I expected it to be pretty rough, but I was very happy with the overall condition of the knife. It has been used a lot so it has some character. It was sharp and ready to carry but I still took it apart to do a little maintenance on it. I cleaned the scales with a toothbrush/soap, oiled it and sharpened it on my Lansky system. Afterwards I stropped it on an old belt of mine.
It was sharp when I got it, but now it is really sharp! The like traditional knives too, so it was nice to have a modern folder with that "SNAP" to it when opening and closing.
This is definitely going to be carried/used regularly and hopefully
Again, thanks for the knife cchu518! It won't be collecting dust!
Anyway, here it is.
