I've used Kershaws for years. I have a good buddy (and fellow BladeForums member) who loves Spyderco knives. He has carried a police model since high school I believe. Anyhow, I broke down and bought a Tenacious. I think it is a great knife for the money (and I do realize it is from the low end line of Spydies). Fit and finish is excellent and that blade is scary sharp right out of the box. I'm still not great at deploying the blade. Haven't gotten used to the Spyderco thumb hole yet. I'm sure after some use that it will loosen a little. I really like it so far!:thumbup:

Broh- I have been to folder insanityville and I always come back to Spyderco. Always.
Congratz.

A friend of mine picked up a Tenacious. Great bang for the buck. Good pick.

Nice starting point. I suggest flicking the blade out using your middle finger and moving your wrist-- for me at least, it affords a much more secure grip between my thumb and index finger. It also cradles the handle right in my palm instead of my fingers.

IMO it's hard to beat a Tenacious for an entry level knife. The F&F is quite respectable and the blade steel is more than serviceable as far as I'm concerned.
