So I've entered the web of spyderco cautiously with a Persistance. I like it, perfect size for EDC. So I went to adjust the pivot screw so I could get a little more flippy with it, and I was a little surprised to see that I could turn the torx bit by hand, without any driver at all. I loosened it a little, and it deployed in satisfying manner, but I wasn't happy with the blade play, so tightened back up, again by hand, to a point where I can comfortably open with one hand, and have pretty much zero left to right play.

Anyways, is the screw supposed to behave this way? Thanks.

Just sounds like little to no loctite was used. If you find it loosens up you should use some blue loctite to keep it where you like. You can also use clear nail polish in a pinch too.

I have had this happen with a few different knives. Like posted above if it turns out to be a problem just a little dab of loctite and be done with it. I have only had one ever develop a problem where it would back out with normal use.
