I posted before that I was going to take a knife making class this month. The first class was tonight and I had a good time. The instructor was really helpful and informative. We had half class of basics lecture, and half of forging. We are starting off with a really low carbon steel, so it was easy to shape. Forgive me since I don't remember the type of steel for my memory isn't very good and we leard alot.

This is where I got to tonight

Who is your class through? Community education or a local college, private? I am looking for one in the Utah area. P.S. can't see your photo's but good luck.

I'm jealous, I plan on linking up with some folks when I head down to Benning for IOBC to try my hand at making blades

It is at the art center. It is at night, so it is not through the school. They are just using the grounds as a place to have it. I am not sure who puts it on. It took me a while to find one. I wen't to google and typed "knife making class Arizona"

I looked briefly for you, but I did not find anything. If you can't find anything, you can try a do it your self type of thing. It isn't the same I know, but if you really wan't to do it, it may be your best option. Good luck finding something!
