and I must say this is probably the toughest folder I have ever had.

I don't see many of the SnG tantos with the flag in the G10, wonder if these aren't so common? Anyway, I may have to buy another just to wave it. It looks very do-able without degrading much integrity of the original design. In the pic below, I shot a line from the bottom of the cutout and it doesn't look too bad.

Dude!

(wave it :thumbdn: )

That is a great looking blade! I can see that you're a wave-a-holic, but are there knives that you haven't waved?

Got a Tasman Salt today... not waving that ;) ... and will not be waving this "flagged" SnG.

I'm interested now in getting a tanto SMF. This could get addicting.

Have to comment on the very nice Sea-dweller. Had one but found it a little to thick.

Congrats. I think the flaged ones cost a little more and maybe people don't want to spens the extra money (?). I just got my 1st Strider too, a PT cc with green G10. It took a day or 2 to break it in ,opening & closing, now its as smooth as a Sebenza. Is built like a little tank.

Dude, seriously, don't, PLEEEAAASE!!!!!

No matter what I think about the whole Strider story, I still think Strider folders are masterpieces. Please don't cut out a chunk of metal because of a minimal feature like waving! Grooving the G10 is one thing, but the blade? No! Pleasepleaseplease don't! DON'T!
:(:(:(

The SD/Sub has always been my grail watch. The only thing I don't like is the cyclops magnifier. When I heard the 4000ft SD was discontinued my mind was made up. I've always been a fan of a heavier watch. As far as I know, I'm done with watches. The only other watch I have is a Seiko 200m auto diver I wore in Iraq.

Sweet, I've always wanted to handle one of those. The flagged one are boss, with acu, that would be my dream folder.

You got a looker there...

Got my first one about a month ago - sorry I waited so long...

You wave that thing and I don't know what I'm going to do. Probably freak out.

Nice catch though. I've been carrying my SMF since the moment I got it. Amazing knife.

Finally brought myself to using it. I cut the top off a Arizona Ice Tea can to use it for a spitoon. Put some nice scratches (which were really Al) in the tiger stripe and then took most of them off with a green pad. The finish still looks great.

I have a regular SNG and really like it. Dont carry it all that much when I am not camping or hiking but its a great knife.

I know you said your not waving it, smart choice. I think it would ruin the look.

Congratulations!
Don't alter that Strider.
Frame-locks, for my taste, are over-kill.
Enjoy your SnG.
