I have been a knife enthusiast since I was a kid. I have always been a spyderco fan and recently picked up some higher dollar blades (CRK(which I love!), ZT) but was missing a strider. I had heard good things about the new lock up and ruggedness of these knives so I had to pick one up. I was recommended 3 dealers and found the strider I wanted from True North Knives. I am very pleased with TNK---- the shipping was upgraded to over night and they threw in some TNK swag that is awesome!

Now to the strider goodness----- blade perfectly centered and early lock up. Lock was a little sticky but I have heard that is normal. Put some graphite on it that helped. I can easily flick it open with my pointer or middle finger on my back hand(similar to a spydie flick). This knife is gorgeous! The factory edge could be a bit better, but nothing I can't touch up with my sharpening skills. I love the ergos of strider including the choke up choil and jimping. The knife just fits my hand very well. This is my first strider, but definitely will not be my last!

My strider----SnG black g10 Lego, cpm154 stonewashed blade , and flamed TI

Are those TNK band-aids? haha

Nice score, btw. I've come close to pulling the trigger on a SNG several times.

I will find out soon how easy the cpm154 is to sharpen :D

Yes, those are TNK band aids. I got a chuckle out of that too lol.

SnG is awesome Evan--- if you can afford it I highly recommend!

I have had my Sng for about 5 years now. The sticky lock was the only thing I have ever had issues with and that problem is long gone.

It remains one of my favorite knives and is still as unique as it ever was.
I like interesting, well built knives. Striders design still fascinates me in its execution. Great, great design. Super light and strong. Multiple opening positions.

Overpriced? Maybe, but show me another design like it. Besides, it is still holding up very well thank you.

Knives come and go, but the Sng will never leave my collection.
