First Swamp Rat!

I just received my first Swamp Rat knife! I ordered the Rodent 9 and man o man is she all knife! I've got big hands and she fills them nice too,
I've been wanting to order a big knife from a good knife maker, but I always seem to miss the boat. I guess my timing was just plan old good
this time! I don't collect knives, but looking at my "collection" you might think that I do. I can't wait to get out there and do some chopping!
I recently went camping and was batoning through some wood with my 4 1/2" blade and it was kind of difficult. The handle kept hitting on the
wood and I had to keep adjusting to get through it. Anyway...I determined that I needed a larger knife. I own a Ontario Rat 7, but there is just
something about it that I don't like....can't really put my finger on it, but its there. I've got a leather sheath ordered from Armoraleather and
I just can't wait to put everything together! I'm excited to own this knife and I'm sure it will live up to all my expectations too. I don't abuse
knives, but I do use them and I'm thinking that this Rodent 9 is going to be a great "use" knife!
 
As the saying around here goes: Pictures or it didn't happen!
Happy for you to get that awesome piece of cutting goodness. Have M9 myself and not sure if I should be getting R9 as it might be a bit redundant... And the bump in the handle worries me a bit, have medium sized hands and afraid it might be a bit uncomfortable. If you post a lot of pictures it might help me to make up my mind :D

Wow Thrill, nice comments and she isnt even oragnge and blue:), now you got me hooked on that color combination too!!

Mark, nice score i got a chance to play with the rodent 9 and i like the handle and blade alot, congrats!!!
 
I just ordered my first one (Swamp Rat) too today , Rat 9 .. can I ask how long it takes get to her ~ does anybody know are these stocked or made to order ?
