The stretched tactical Cetan by Rob Simonich is now completed and has been dubbed the WAMBLI (Lakota for Eagle).

The whole story of the project and some neat jpegs (thanks to DC) are available on:

Talonite is not non-magnetic! A magnet will not stick to it but we must make sure we understand all of the principals of magnetics before we make claims. This is not a slam more for the information of people. Talonite/Stellite will not pass non-magnetic testing because of the cobalt. While it may pass through some magnitometers it is not considered non-magnetic. If you have questions about this please feel free to drop me an email.

Rob,
I'm no metallurgist. The non-magnetic, non-corroding properties are cited on Carbide Processor's web site for their hot rolled and age hardened version of stellite 6Bh. My knife (Wambli) is en route to me as I type this (had the handle sandblasted and Rob had some minor engraving done for me). I'll try the magnet test when I get it.

Mr. Cude; please feel free to expound on your understanding of magetism, especially as it pertains to capacitance and magnetically detonated ordnance.

This is the place to explain and educate us; I, for one, would very much like to learn.

Thanking you in advance, Walt Welch

Rob,
I rechecked and found that stellite 6Bh and talonite have 3% maximum Fe content so that accounts for the signature.
