My first attempt at customization. Nothing two ambitious just a Ka-Bar / Becker Necker BK11CSM with Micarta Handle Scales. The sheath has an added TDI belt clip and an ESEE-5 Accessory Pouch, which needed a little coaxing to meet up but the over all result meets my needs very nicely.

The pouch fits my snappy camera very well and still has a little space at the bottom for some small survival bits and pieces.

I believe, but I might stand corrected on this the patternation on the edge is due to the core of the composite showing through. The BK11CSM is made of a composite steel, a high carbon centre sandwiched between two pieces of stainless.

The little tool on the butt is a bottle opener / wire cutter, meant for twisting wire till it breaks.

I think I like this so much I might have to make another based on the the standard BK11.

Just to clear things up a bit, the blade on that bk11 is laminated as aposed to a composite blade. Lamination is when they take two different steels and make a "sandwich" where they have a high carbon wear resistant steel as a core and then a layer of softer, tougher, more flexible steel on the outside. A composite blade is two different steels brazed together so that the edge is one steel and the spine is another.
