This is my 6th or 7th attempt at a knife, first time Damascus.

Would appreciate any feedback, Thanks.

As far as the Damascus is concerned the only potential delamination I can see is the two darker spots towards the tip on the bottom pic. As far as the knife goes, it could use some work on the profile. I would get rid of that weird hump on the spine about an inch and a half back from the tip. Grind that flat with the rest of the spine. The handle could use some work too. Round those blocky square corners, try and space your holes more even. Also, you really don’t want to even drill your holes until you have the final profile done. Because, as you’re seeing now, if you grind on the handle, it can make them off center. Personally I would do away with how the handle flares upward towards the butt starting about 1/3 back from the front of the handle. I’d straighten it out and probably even round it out some, especially the butt. Lastly, I don’t like the ricasso. I like the heel/ricasso to be more squared off on a hunter to prevent slipping up onto the blade while doing wet work(skinning, gutting, cleaning fish, etc...).

Overall, for only being your 7th knife, and first time doing Damascus, it’s really good. Hell thats awesome for your first Damascus. If that is delamination towards the tip, you could easily grind that back and have a lot of knife left. Also, you have a surplus of material to work with. So if you do some work on the profile, you could have a real nice looking blade. Good work.

Nice damascus
I like to see flowing lines in a knife and I don't see them on your knife.

On this one, drop the end of the handle a bit and round the butt. Also try and get a more flowing line from where the index- and middle finger are to tha drop edge part.
Also I'd drop the point a bit and get one line to the spine, not the hump you have now.

Just my friendly 2c. I think there's a good knife in that blank

Good advice has been given, so, I'll just say congrats on the damascus.
One thing that helps me is drawing on paper with pencil and then refining that sketch over and over until everything about the knife fits with everything else. I think we sometimes overlook the drawing/ design aspect of knifemaking to get right into the knife making end of things. Good luck with your adventure and have fun with it!

How would you suggest fixing the delaminations?
