Edit: Was able to find and buy couple deltas.

Hi guys. I have been out of Microtech for long time and I really want to buy Socom Delta.

Can you tell me how to get one. Where to look? Who to ask, who to email and how to get on waiting list if there is any. I really want G10 with simple clip point plain blade.

I do have one brand new, never touched Microtech that I cant bring my self into carrying. Its a old school 1998 Socom full size.

Edit: Dug out my Socom out of safe for a pic today. Enjoy.

Best advice I can give: quit looking for another one and use the one you have.

Enjoy the knife, man! You only live once!

I like your advice =) but this 1998 Socom is more of a collectible now. Just cant make myself to start using it. =)

Need to find me Socom Delta to put to use.

I see that pvk.vegas has two of them. One mid-tech Socom Bravo at $900 and a zombie edition Socom Delta for $365. That is all I can find..

If you really, really wanted one. You could get the zombie edition and send it to Josh at REK to refinish the whole thing in about any color combo you'd want. May kill the warranty tho..

Otherwise, you could also look at the Strider SMF. I own both knives. They are very, very comparable. The SMF is hard to find too, but still easier than the Socom Delta.

Good Luck!

Haha yeah, I totally get where you're coming from. Sorry I can't be more help, man.

MT warranty... Long read in the GBU forum on that topic. It's definitely worth a read before considering any new MT purchase.

Yeah, I thought about putting that in there.. The really is no warranty anyway. Unless you call waiting a year for your knife to come back. Good call Leftytwogunz!
Sent my own G-10 Socom in last October.. it's still there..

Edit: now that Lefty has me thinking all negative now on the Socom. :( I was involved in a thread where a new owner of a new Socom Delta couldn't find a tool anywhere to adjust the pivot pin.
Again, why does Microtech do that?!!! I love them still, but why do they keep shooting themselves in the foot!!??

The Strider SMF is little more money, but you getter a little more knife (plus I like the taller blade) and a lot more warranty/service.

Not trying to rain on this parade.. But Lefty has made a great point, just think before you pull the trigger.
(note in my avatar, I have both the Socom and SMF pictured)

Sorry, I'm becoming more and more a Protech guy lately....

With the release of the "Death on Contact" and the proprietary pivot and screw heads you can HAVE Microtech. Never again.

You can't take it with you. Search online stores, no shortage of those. There are some for sale already. Look in the dealers section here on the Exchange.

I just picked up one of the zombie-tech Socom deltas. I'm not thrilled with the color scheme, but...just having this feel back in my hand makes me happy :)

Hmmm sorry. His name is Joey Allen and he posted it for sale in the knife trader Facebook group. Plain edge $300

Nice Find @Shytbird!

That has the torx pivot screw too. However the op asked for a G-10 handle and that one appears to have an aluminum one. I honestly prefer the aluminum. The G-10 just wasn't done in typical Microtech "cool" fashion. It's just a very plain, matte finish black G-10. Unless maybe the brand new G-10 is different, but the pics I've seen look the same as the 2012 run.

That one pictured above is a great deal! Also very rare blade too as most in that vintage were tanto..
