Hey everyone, I recently got a Mule K390 to handle. I had some beautiful bocote. My dad is a very skilled wood worker (he builds guitars), so I tried learning from him while growing up. Here is the progress so far. :)

Looking good. Beautiful wood. A couple of years ago, I made some osage orange scales for my Tenacious. I just got a Cat that I'll probably make some wood scales for.

Thanks! Id love to make scales for a folder. I'm pretty happy with the out come since its my first time. I have some nice curly maple Id like to use too.

Lookin' good.

You might try rounding the edges a little more, it will change the way the knife feels in your hand. My Tenacious scales are generously rounded and shaped to fit my hand. It's much nicer than the original scales. One of the odd things I noticed about the wood scales is the sound resonates in the wood differently, when opened, it sounds a bit louder than he G10.
