So my wife has zero interest in knives or any other of my other hobbies, flashlights, guns, camping, hiking, ect.... and generally thinks they are a waste of time and money. She wonders why i waste my time in the garage sharpening knives and cleaning guns. Still, she seems to ask for my knife or flashlight now & then. Last night she's opening a UPS shipping bag and says "pass me your knife" as she motions over to me. I'm standing next to my nightstand so i'm no sure ifs shes talking about the Kershaw in my pocket or the Kershaw on my nightstand. Finally she clarifies she wants the 4" Gerber Profile also on the nightstand. She says " I LIKE thaaat one! It is shaarp!! I've been using it to open everything. It just goes sweeeshh!!" as she makes a cutting motion with her hands. I felt a sense of pride come over me as I have been practicing my sharpening skills lately. Later that night my wife & mother in law made a pot roast dinner. Apparently the kitchen knives are no longer sharp enough for her liking and she says to me " go get me your knife, these knives suck". She had no problem carving up the pot roast. I'm thinking maybe there is hope for her.
