First time out in a month!

Good on you brother. Looks like a good test run as you get back on your feet! It's not only good for your recovery physically, but good for the soul. I have the same ENO hammock; very compact and quick set up for day hikes (and naps:D). Just curious...what music were you listening to?

 Someone drilled a hole in you Skookum!!

Glad you're out and about, and thanks for sharing your pics.

Interesting pack, what's the make and model?

Cool. Nice way to spend a day. Whats the hole in the tip of the blade for?

Pink Floyd Animals then a little Vivaldi before leaving. The hammock was a little too comfortable! (now eying a warbonnet blackbird!)

It is indeed a Kifaru Scout. There's a couple threads in Outdoor gear on it and a Zulu I picked up. Was great to get out!

It was a nice day!

As for the hole, this is from the Skookum page:

Mors Kochanski has also suggested drilling a shearing hole near the tip of the blade where you insert a nail or pin to act as a pivot point. When set up properly the knife is used in a shearing action similar to a flat bed paper cutter for cutting up multiples of whatever one might need such as a bunch of toggles for buttons, tarp tie downs etc. or for processing large quantities of food items.

I bought it second hand and would have no need for it. Maybe I'll try it out sometime.

Right on, it's always a little therapeutic to get back out there  That pic with the fire and the butt of the SBT looks cool.

Good to see folks out and about. I'm itching to go also, but my trails are still very snowed in.
I have a Skookum also; Red canvas , no tipbhole , and butt cap. Waited 2 whole years for it.

As spring gets into gear , these kind of posts will pick up a lot :D

Got to love a little Pink Floyd! A Momentary Lapse of Reason is my favorite album:thumbup:

I love my Blackbird! That's my primary hammock for backpacking and I'm probably going to get one for my wife. She's been using my Hennessy, but she likes the features of the Blackbird more. Still, the inexpensive ENO goes on all my day hikes/trips...can't beat it for compactness and simplicity:thumbup:

Looks like you had a good time and I'm glad you had a chance to get out.

I wanted to buy that Bushtool ... I bought another one from him in 3V many moons ago and love it.

It goes great with the +B Bushcrafter that I got from you.

I enjoy seeing your adventures.
