the cheap sheath that came with my Kershaw Skyline fixed blade finally fell apart, so it gave me an excuse to buy some things to make one.

to get the BOLTARON to shape with good definition i had to set the toaster oven dial to 400, no idea how accurate that dial is though.

the first one turned out pretty bad...... and it looked even worse after the band saw took it away from me
but this one works perfectly. I kinda just winged it on the design since I haven't seen what I wanted anywhere (but I am open to revision suggestions)
and so far it made it through a whole day of use.

I made it to fit my boots since that's pretty much all I wear when I am not at church.
between the hook to keep it from pushing down and the strap to prevent it from pulling up it doesn't budge.
the only problem i have is the retention on it is a tad to tight, but its getting better with use.

and before you ask, yes the knife does have orange scales. but they have permanently bonded with some engine grease.
(the orange g10 is impossible to keep clean)

I might make a neck sheath for dress occasions next ;)

Looks better than my first couple of tries with boltaron... as for style, I've got none lol all of my sheaths pretty much look the same (rectangles) but they do their job.

Stay away from 400 degrees (actual) with both kydex and Boltaron. A very nasty gas is released above that.
