Hey guys how are yah

I have been here once in a while, but i think this is my first post here.
I am a User and not a collector whatsoever & was hoping to get the best imo that each company has to offer. Like buck 110, 710, delica, Endura, cQ7, commander and so forth.

I have been looking at Zt302 & the Kershaw tyrade

Because of the truly high price tag i would like to save for one, and having a tough time deciding on which one.

If you were in my shoes and could only pick one knife which one would it be and why.

thank you and take care

aj

p.s I look forward to all your replies

I'd opt for the ZT302 only because i KNOW it's top notch,.......having handled more than a few of it's non-assisted opening bethren! :D

ALSO,....you may not have noticed but STR dropped out of the running in the three knife giveaway,......whom you previously voted for.

You are allowed to vote another choice,......except for glockman99 as he also bowed out of the running.

........with your Canadian dollar is so strong and getting stronger,.......pretty soon you'll be able to buy it cheaper than ME,........even with any duty imposed!

BTW,.......not buying the 1st time poster act!;)

I handled it quite briefly but i do agree the Zt302 is top notch only if someone around me had a tyrade I could truly compare them both.

Yup i think this is my first thread with Kershaw what can I say all you guys make this sub forum one of the best places to be on this site with your hospitality, and after reading your great customer service on the forums I had to start posting here:).

take care

I think you might also want to take a look at the ZT 0200. It's just as stout as the 0302, but at alot less money.

IMHO, it's an "apples to oranges" comparison. The ZT0300 series is a tough honking series of folders meant for extreme applications. Ambidextrous clip placement, tip up or down, S30V, G-10/Ti handles, and a 3/8" hex nut for the pivot adjustment.

The Tyrade, on the other hand, is more of a work of art and innovation. I seriously wouldn't consider using a Tyrade for the same applications that a ZT0300 series is meant to handle.

Since you state that you're a user, I'd opt for the ZT.

Because the composite blade technology is new, you can be pretty sure that Kershaw has heavily tested and abused the Tyrade's blade. It should easily be able to handle most day today cutting tasks and I don't think I'd be too concerned about using it as an EDC. Having said that, it is still really meant to be a technology showcase and it is tough to not want to keep it as a collectible.

The 0300's, on the other hand are designed for heavy duty use, and they are built tough. If you feel that the knife will see that sort of use then you should stick with the ZT.

I have both, by the way, and once you handle them it'll be tough to not want both.

Zt200 just doesn't do it for me, but because of your constant pestering about the cyclone and Jyd i might have to get those soon as well:D

You have both eh  you are a lucky lucky man.

May I ask do you use both as your edc regularly and the Tyrade is that a limited production model.

thanks and take care
