First time PST2 owner with a question

Every time I open up the scissors they take a ton of force to pop open and I feel like they're going to break.

Is there some trick to it that I'm missing? The tool is in good shape and every other tool is as smooth as you'd expect.

Open and close it, it will smooth up. Also don’t lube it the metal on metal will wear in quicker.

I’ve had many pst IIs, and that’s just the way the scissors are. Never had a problem with them and I find they work great.
