Firstly, I'm a married man :D

Now, In the mail yesterday was a Small Sebenza (cheers Brendan !) with Cocobolo inlay. Although in fantastic condition, like new in fact, the pivot felt a bit dry. I'll disassemble her, I thought, then oil the mechanism.

I followed Ted's outstanding thread on the very subject (stuck to the top of the CRK page) All went very well and I even reversed the screws! More slicker, for sure.

The blade swing and lock up is now like silk WOW.

By the way, someone said that it gives you a fantastic feeling of closeness to the product doing this...
I can vouch for that, she's my little pet, now. Everyone with a knife should try it

Incidentally my wife thinks my head's going, i'm not sure

But GOD i love these knives.

Yeah, I agree. It ain't really your knife until you take it apart and put it back together. I think one needs to take one apart and put it back together to truly appreciate the fine tolerances these knives offer.

I think you should celebrate your marriage by buying a few more sebenzas! :p :p :p :D :D :D

Sadly, she says no. In fact under punishment and threat of no more, er, liberties - I have to buy nothing more until next month.

What a choice :D :D :D :D

Mark :)

OK Mark; you're clearly out of control now. It looks like you buy every Sebenza you see for sale, and every day I visit this forum there is a new picture of yet another knife of yours. I don't think anybody could keep up with you, and that's fine, but you getting a Cocobolo Sebenza before me really hurt… a lot. ;) I've been trying to get my hands on one of them for a while now, and you go ahead and beat me to it… Come on now, reveal your sources. :D

You're the man to blame actually for my addiction, Alex !

I got it at a fantastic price from a fellow second-hand to tell the truth. It honestly looks like new :eek: Enjoy ;

One to show you the Cocobolo wood a bit better, Alex.

What a brilliantly well kept knife !! Reversing the screws is the business

Y'all shouldn't worry next month Mark will be buying curtains rather then a knife. :p

and pass em out like cigars to everyone here.. ;)

Congrats on both the knife and the marriage

Thanks fellas.

I'm a lucky man to have both a splendid marriage, to a wonderful friend and a good find on the knife front, with any CRK.

This is what I'll probably have to do, well before next month...

Oh come on - admit it.....no man could be into knives like us and NOT be a slave to the wife.

Mark - I totally agree mate. You gotta pulle em apart, I find it strange the lock felt dry as I took it apart and lubed it up with the reeve stuff. Never mind eh !

Matt - you sold me the snakewood one bro - and that's a keeper !!
