First time trying heat anodizing

Good for you. I have the plastic tank and chemicals sitting on my workbench for the last three months. I hope to get around to it one of these days.
The color is nice and you deserve an A+ for determination, effort and bravery... (I'd hate to screw up one of my folders)

Thanks! It turned out OK but it did scorch a little at the bottom but oh well.

Used a wire hook to hang from a base and got a standard torch and just heated it up till i got the color i liked and tried my best to make it a even color. (Next time i need to clean it better tho)

Did you have any issues with the detent ball? Ive done the clip on my 0550, and a few titanium beads for lanyards. Want to try to do the lockside on my 0550 too, but ive heard the heat can cause the detent ball to fall out...
