I'm still just an aspiring Beckerhead, having not yet received my first order from one of my distributors. Since I've led such a deprived childhood, my good friend Bruce (Weaponeer) brought his collection to lunch yesterday. Since my BK15 is backordered, I borrowed that one and he assured me that he wanted me to use it. Not having time to go hog hunting before leaving town for Thanksgiving, I decided to use it too cook breakfast this morning.
While the bacon fried, I used the BK15 to chop some yellow onions, then in the grease they went. I do have to admit the blade seemed a bit thick for slicing onions, which I think is one of the arguments for stripping the coating. After a little fumbling, I got used to the angle I needed to use to get a good slice.

Potatoes were soaking in water while the bacon and the onions fried. I use the dehydrated potatoes that are available from Sam's Club since they are "restaurant quality," just like the box says.

After it was plated, I added some shredded cheddar and a little roasted tomatillo salsa. I decided I needed to use the BK15 a little more, so I used it to eat and skipped my usual fork. It worked reasonably well, but I'm thinking Becker needs to bring out a spork, spife (or maybe knoon), knork, or some other fork/knife/spoon combo.
