After years of paying more for Busse Knives due to the low Canadian dollar, it is a real joy to pay less than the listed price.

Oct. 24, 2007 Oct. 26, 2007 BUSSE 419-923-6471 OH
$331.95 US DOLLAR @ 0.991715 $329.20

Now I know there are far more implication to our rising dollar but it is still nice to pay less than posted. :D I still have to pay 15% tax at the border, plus fee, plus shipping.:grumpy:
I think I have the disease under contol, until now.

I am finding the new found dollar value is dangerous! I had the same thing happen with my Sus Scrofa order... The amount billed on my CC was less than the invoice amount even though shipping wasn't included on the invoice!

Woohoo! Drat! Yay!

Once we hit the 2 for 1 mark, I am hunting for SHBMs... I have my targets and you know who you are... Be afraid, be very afraid! :D

The first time I went to Niagra the US dollar was worth $1.40.
One of the best vacations ever!
It was like the whole country was on sale!
:D:D

The higher Dollar is a nice relief from what we were paying.

What is still a drag is when you do a straight trade and you get nailed tax at the border even though no money has changed hands.

Customs must only work one day a week. I have eight busse's sitting with customs that should have been here by now.:grumpy:

OK I'll turn off the whining now.:D

Yea, I've been hit on a trade too. Even though we both insured the knives for full value and wrote that they were returning to owner, I still had to pay tax. I guess they know it's too much hassle to fight it.

YAh, i am loving this exchange rate. Been losing money in the past with the exchange rate, maybe we should start to sell our knives in Canada dollars now :)
