I talked my brother into buying his first Spydie today. He decided on an FRN Delica. He's so excited you would think it's his first knife.

The first Spydie does hold a special place in your heart. Mine was a SS Police with the ATS-55 steel. I'll never sell it.

The Delica is a great choice. I'm sure it will be the first of many spydercos for him.

my first was a frn endura, great knife. i actually gave it to my friend as a christmas gift. it's not his first knife (he has a khukri). hopefully he'll take good care of it. he was very surprised when i opened it and it was a endura. your brother will buy more.

Still have my firsts. A few years back I was looking for a new EDC, so I visited Spyderco's web site and bought a couple of CF D3s for me and my wife to carry. We retired them a couple of years ago in favor of two ZDP189 D4s, but we've still got them cleaned up and back in their original boxes. They're drawer queens now, but they were a great intro to Spyderco.

My first was a Vesuvius with a compression lock. I still have it. I still carry it every once in a while. It has been a great knife for me over the years.

Not my first but my current favorite. I have had it a couple weeks and already have my eye on something I think I might actually like even more!

Paramilitary in the photo...my eye is firmly fixed on the Military.

I got my first spyderco back in 1998 in a gunshow, a guy had 3 rescue knives for $25.00 each, bought all 3 of them.

Sold 2 to my buddy and still have one, great knife.

My first was an FRN SE Dragonfly. It's ridiculous what I put that knife through, but it never missed a beat.
