I am new to the traditional folder side of the knife world. I have always looked at them and admired their sleek look and design, but never committed to buying one. Then this morning I was on the forum and was reading a post where someone recommended Great Eastern Cutlery. I had never heard of them so I looked them up. Then I found this little guy. I love the wood and just the simple design. So it is on its way to my house via USPS. Pretty excited to get it. My first traditional folder!

Congrats on buying a really nice GEC Trapper. You are going to really enjoy owning it.:)

Great knife, and a perfect first.
I have two of the GEC 48s, and I love them both. I'm sure you'll love it too.

I am sure I will really enjoy this knife. It takes me back to when I was a kid packing around a Schrade Oldtimer Stockman. Does anyone know how thick the blade is from the spine to the blade bellyon the Tidioute Trapper?
