I always liked tactical style knives but in the past 2 weeks of being on this board I have grown to like these older style knives. I was reading a thread on pockets sheaths and someone said "isnt it a PITA to take the knife out of your pocket, then out of the sheath then open it?" the poster responded something along the lines of "I am not fighting zombies or preparing for the apocalypse, I have plenty of time to open my knife"

Just made so much sense, so the crkt goes away and the northriver will be my everyday folder along with my mini fox river. Just figured I would share a little paradigm shift this board has brought about in my consumerism.

Here it is, thanks to Tyler at KSF for helping me a bunch this week on a couple other purchases too

Your in for a treat my friend! I came full circle like you and haven't gone back, people over here on the traditional side are easy keepers for the most part also.
Respectfully, Chance.

Nice looking knife. Thinking of giving a traditional a try myself. I've been tempted by the northwoods Forest Jack Wharncliffe in Cocobolo. Though it's not on the final list of choices. It still stands a slight impulse buy chance.

lol seems like rude way to say yes :p.

Very nice choice, I was eyeing those but I opted for the forest jack.

Have you looked into the Large Courier Belt Sheath that Knives ship free makes and sells?
You seriously should look into them, they'll save you pocket space :D

Hurry up and get one! I went with camel bone. The springs on these are absolute snappers and inspire confidence with their robust strength. Don't worry about breaking your nails. They are easily pinchable. I can't say enough good things about this knife. Here's mine with an Autumn Gold Big Jack.... same knife, 2 different blades.
