Well, let me say these pictures are horrible, I just couldn't wait to post.

Iv'e had this for sale for a bit now so you've probably seen the knife, but i finally got the sheath done for it. I generally do hand stitched pouch type sheaths, and this is my first attempt at anything complex......well it sure as heck was complex for me, and took forever, but i enjoyed, and hope to make the next a bit better.

This sheath is a little over 5/8'' thick at the welt, It has a double layer welt, everything is all hand saddle stitched. Well here it is.

well not sure what ya call it, i took the top layer, cut the design out, then took another layer, same shape, tooled it to give it texture, then a bottom layer then stitched the whole thing to gether, with a double welt inbetween, total of i think 5 layers......man my fingers are sore:(

the inner stitching goes all the way around, the outer stops at the far top right corner, and right at the radius above my grungy looking paw.

inlay, over lay....something like that;)

thanks:D

I think you did a great job. It's like they say, if you keep on doing what you've always done, than you already got what you will always have. So go for it.

Inlay...overlay...I'm not sure the right term either, but that's what I meant! Are the areas question dyed a different color, or just darker from the tooling?

I've been meaning to try something like this myself.

both, its dyed and tooled..................how about underlay;)
