Made this for my mother's birthday present. 14th knife yet. And I'm ashamed to admit it was a rushed job because I always tend to forget my fantastic mamma's birthday, so it was done in two days time, before and after my full time job. Don't really know where I got the idea for this handle but I liked it so I went with it. Had one single sketch to start and just went with it. Blade is from a recycled figure skate, so if anyone knows what kind of steel that it, that would be nice to know. And if anyone can source me some pics or links to knives with similar "recessed" wood handles that would be cool too.
